Healthcare should be personal.
More Time with Your Doctor
When you are a patient at a typical medical practice, you spend more time in the waiting room than you do with your doctor, if you get to see the Doctor at all.
So, after all the waiting, most of your care or treatment is administered by other staff members.
Finally, at the end of the appointment, your doctor may come by to put their stamp of approval and sign your prescriptions.
Most of this can be attributed to the fact that typical practice doctors see 30 patients a day on average.
But with our practice, we only see 8 to 10 patients a day. This means that during your appointment you will get to talk through and freely communicate all of your health concerns with Dr. Harper, not just one of our staff. After all, understanding is the most important aspect of staying healthy.

Have you or someone you know been forced to go to an Emergency Room care facility with a simple health issue simply because your primary care physician’s office was closed or had a full appointment schedule? Statistics show that you are not alone. According to the US National Library of Medicine study, ER visits doubled between 1996 and 2006, while the number of uninsured people treated remained nearly constant.
The study shows that the largest demographic of increase was insured patients under the care of General Practice physicians, but who were not able to be treated by their Doctor after hours or due to scheduling blocks.
Well, Sickness and injury do not just keep bank hours, so neither do we. We believe that our job is to take care of our patients, when they need it most. Our patients can contact Dr. Harper via his personal cell phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even on holidays and after hours.
Almost always, same day appointments are arranged, or even home visits if necessary.
Typical Primary Care Physicians offices can have over 2,300 patients in total. Based on 250 working days per year and 8 working hours a day, a patient receives roughly 45 mins PER YEAR of time with their doctor. No wonder they get you in and out so quickly!
At our practice, we have fewer than 600 patients. This is so we can take the time to get to know you and your family, not to mention take CARE of your health needs. You are not just a manila file folder with a SSN on the tab to us; you are family.
